Welcome to the new Roberta Bondar Public School website! Located in the south end of the city of Ottawa, our beautiful school is dual-track school, offering regular English program and early French immersion program to students from junior kindergarten to grade 8. We welcome students from the communities of South Keys/Greenboro, Hunt Club Park and Upper Hunt Club.

Roberta Bondar is the home away from home for approximately 800 students and almost 60 staff members. Our very dedicated school team, with the help of some committed volunteers, offers a variety of extra-curricular activities in academics, the arts and sports. We have a rich arts program and students are invited to participate in choirs, bands, and drama productions. Our junior and intermediate sports teams compete at both the school board and regional levels and all students are also invited to participate at school through our extensive intramural sports program. Our School Improvement Plan is developed annually and this year focuses on improving literacy skills across the curriculum, mathematics education, incorporating technology in our classrooms and various character education initiatives. At Roberta Bondar, everyday we speak about the importance of the 3 R’s: Respect, Responsibility and Resourcefulness. Students are encouraged to set high standards for themselves, develop positive work habits and become responsible and respectful members of our global community.

Roberta Bondar is fortunate to have an active parent community that is always there to support student learning and school activities. As members of our Professional Learning Community, parents volunteer in classrooms, assist with supervision of field trips, work as members of our School Council, fundraise, and work collaborate with teachers and staff.

We are very proud to be the administrative team at Roberta Bondar. Thank you to the students, to the staff, and parents for your commitment and on-going support. We look forward to a terrific year!
